Fog of War / Dynamic Lighting
Moat features a full automated FOW system with dynamic lighting. Let your players see only what you want them to see.

Video chat is built right into Moat, your players wont need to mess with making accounts anywhere else to play.
Doors and Windows and Walls Oh My!
Doors that hide, open and close. Windows that you can see through if you get close. Walls automatically rendered.
Initiative Tracker
Keep track of your battles easily with the built in initiative tracker, allowing you and your players to know who's up next.
Hero Forge and Paper Mini Tokens
Direct API support for Hero Forge tokens, and a really great paper mini style token that turns your transparent PNGs into cut out tokens.
Fast and Easy
Moat was built to keep prep time down. Maps are ready to play on in less than 30 seconds. I kept the UI simple, and left out bloat.
AI DM Assistant
Integrated AI means you are never alone behind the screen. Ask questions with an AI that is aware of the scene you are currently in and the rules.
AI Automated Music
Music is fun right? But are you a DJ or a DM? Let the AI pick the music, you drive the scene.
AI Loot and Improve Generation
A couple clicks will give you the loot drops for that guard they murder hobo'd or the monologue for the overly confident goblin.
Recommended System Requirements
I have tested Moat on a range of systems, most do just fine. If your computer isn't insanely old you should have no issues.
Desktop Focused
Moat is built for desktop computers. The screen requirements especially with the integrated video are just never going to fit well on mobile devices.
Chrome Browser Recommended
Moat VTT runs on Chrome and Edge, but is primarily used and tested with Chrome... So use Chrome.
Tech Stack
Moat VTT is built on Threejs, Windows server running SignalR, as well as some APIs. Video Chat by Dolby.io. Currently AI is driven by OpenAI but that's subject to change.

Awesome video, keep it up! Im going to try out your idea this weekend of me doing their insight checks secretly and see how it goes. I can imagine there will be initial push back but i think overall it will lead to a more engaging experience.

It's a great system you've devised there...simple, yet effective. I'm sure many DM's would be all for this. For me, it's not ideal. I'm a "planner"; I pre-plan 95% of everything my players do or encounter. I prefer to use camping simply as a quick means to prepare the players for the next encounter. That's not to say that nothing ever happens to them at camp however; it's just that those events are always pre-planned as well. Cheers!
